Thanks for the mp3 you sent, too, though I must say, the song as a whole is kind of blah. I wish West’s section were more full of insider info (acronyms, etc.) like Ludacris’s—that helps establish both the tighness of the local community with the idea that we’re united by the fact that we all are parts of our own insider communities.

Yo, son. The Game’s verse is fucking FIRE. I really like the anachronistic use of “scriptures” to mean “verses” — the closest I came to ever loving Fiddy is when he does it on one of his songs. And for a guy mostly known for “sad” and “pretty,” Kanye actually has a real flair for “anthemic.”
